Big Idea:
Professionalized peer community nutrition workers in India

India’s Anganwadi rural childcare centers are already focused on nutrition and health, but they and their leaders often haven’t been properly trained. FMCH is out to end preventable child malnutrition by improving the Anganwadi system. They train Anganwadis to do 1:1 nutrition counseling, equip them with digital tools, and make sure they’re motivated and supported by supervision.

Shruthi is a techie who found her calling in the social impact space. For about a decade, she worked across the education and health sectors, but came full circle to use technology as an enabler to drive change at scale when she joined FMCH as CEO in 2019. Her heart lies at the intersection of gender, entrepreneurship, and scale.
