Medha

Big Idea:

Medha embeds career services in low-resource public education institutions in India. They aim to prepare millions of youth for a good job and good life after formal education. Their recipe for career services is an engaging curriculum to develop marketable skills, action learning in a workplace, and connection to an active alumni network. They set up youth to take the first big step from education to meaningful employment, leading to greater workforce participation and income in the long run.

Prior to Medha, Chris was a director of business development at SKS Microfinance (they provide last mile financial services to thousands of villages across India). Chris launched SKS’ Health Insurance and Urban Microfinance products as well as their mobile banking projects. Chris holds a joint MBA/MA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies.
