Carbon180

Big Idea:

Carbon180 envisions a world where we store and remove more carbon than we emit. To get there, they promote natural and technological solutions for drawing down carbon dioxide emissions from the atmosphere. They accelerate research, practices and policies that provide incentives for farmers, foresters and businesses to store and remove carbon.

Giana co-founded Carbon180 while still an undergraduate at UC Berkeley and now leads their work in agriculture to help farmers and ranchers store more carbon. Her prior research focused on the political economy of climate change, with an emphasis on green industrial policy and coalition building.
