Sathya Raghu Mokkapati
Greenhouses can enable a farmer to produce 7x more food with 90% less water, but they’ve been out of reach for poor farmers. Kheyti developed a low-cost, climate-resilient Greenhouse-in-a-box; a durable and modular unit that is bundled with services to help farmers generate a reliable income.
Sathya started his career in accounting, taxation and finance. Quitting the corporate sector, he founded a couple of Agriculture startups in effort to increase income for farmers; this lead to the formation of Kheyti. He writes on farm matters in Business Line, HuffPost, SSIR, SciDevNet and became a Aspen New Voices Fellow in 2016, and Acumen India Fellow in 2014.
