Over 80% of African school kids who reach 9th grade cannot read or write anywhere near grade level. Public schools aren’t performing. Rising’s combination of improved curriculum, coaching, and school management software can deliver high standards at minimal cost. They don’t always fully manage the schools; they tailor their engagements based on need and national requirements.. In Liberia, Rising Academies got excellent results at low cost working through the LEAP program. Now they’ve targeted countries where Big Aid writes big checks for public education (Ghana, Sierra Leone), but often under delivers on outcomes.
