Research on life-saving interventions published in the best scientific journals won’t save any lives if it just sits on a shelf. Youth Impact sifts through the literature to find health and education programs with proven outcomes for young people. They adapt them to their Botswana setting and, in partnership with government, deliver programs in schools. It's not enough for proven messages to be delivered: they have be delivered right. To this end, Youth Impact deploys an army of young, energetic facilitators to engage students. This peer-to-peer model to improve sexual health and education outcomes is urgently needed throughout southern Africa.
