Ineza joined Mulago in 2021 as an Investment Principal.
She’s spent most of her career as a doer working on social ventures across Africa. She was on the founding team of the African Leadership University — she recruited its inaugural class in Mauritius and built its core structure in Rwanda. She then went on to lead the expansion of Moringa School from Kenya to Rwanda where she established a women’s coding bootcamp. On top of all this, Ineza owned a property management business (she was an Airbnb Superhost!).
Ineza got her BA in International Trade and Development at the University of Johannesburg and got her MBA from Duke University. While there she got a taste for impact funding — she interned at REDF and Norrsken VC, and built the Thriving Community Fund that supports BIPOC owned food businesses.
Outside of her day job, you can find her exploring the outdoors, dancing, enjoying live art performances, or cooking healthy and tasty food.
