Better health outcomes in Africa.
Development Media International (DMI) produces intensive radio, TV, and mobile campaigns to promote behaviors critical to child survival (like seeking care for fevers, diarrhea) and improved health (family planning, etc.). They create content that audiences enjoy, then broadcast it often enough—and for long enough—to change entrenched behavior.
African governments become able to deliver effective media campaigns themselves.
DMI has one of the cheapest ways to improve health outcomes in Africa. They're obsessed with continuously updating their evidence-based content that's sticky with audiences, and has huge saturation in Africa. Despite being cheap and easy to deliver, it can only get to scale if governments take on the burden of paying for and implementing the model.
