Amani Global Works is building a scalable district health system model to provide quality healthcare in Eastern DRC.
Jacques comes from Idjwi, a large island in Lake Kivu between DRC and Rwanda. Idjwi has no roads, no electricity, no running water, and no healthcare. Caught up in the violence that convulsed the region in the 1990s, Jacques managed to somehow complete medical studies in Belgium. He sees Idjwi as a good place to create a model that could serve many remote areas of the DRC.
