We’ve long bought into the need for professional community health workers (CHW) who are paid, trained and supervised. And the need for them is huge in Guinea.
Clinic+O is on the cutting edge of the CHW movement. Not only do they professionalize CHWs to proactively visit communities and treat patients, for the tougher cases, they connect patients with telemedicine doctors in real-time. When necessary, they also refer patients to government clinics or hospitals. Clinic+O strengthens those health facilities by providing additional training and boosting their capacity to deliver quality care.
Before founding and becoming CEO of Clinic+O, Nasser Diallo’s career spanned journalism, tech policy, and community activism. He worked on social media strategy at UNICEF and the UN, and supported President Emmanuel Macron’s campaign. Nasser was previously a Policy Program Manager at Facebook, focused on Sub-Saharan Africa and the EU. He holds a Master’s degree from Oxford and has been recognized by the Obama Foundation and Echoing Green for his leadership.
