How It Works
Integrate Health is part of the growing movement to create “professionalized CHWs”—a new class of health professionals who 1) get a regular salary, 2) are well-trained, 3) are well supervised, and 4) get the supplies they need. The Integrate Health name reflects their special sauce: They create a tight—and synergistic—integration of CHWs with existing government clinics and hospitals.

Every rural community has fully professionalized CHWs integrated into strong, government-run primary care systems.
Why We're In
Integrate Health has built one of the strongest proof points for professionalized CHWs in West Africa. Rigorous research shows their programs reduce the chance that a kid under five dies by 30%. They've made big progress toward government adoption in Togo, and they’ve taken on a well-considered expansion into Guinea. In Guinea, they are working toward government delivery from the outset, which includes hitting cost targets that will influence others in the proCHW movement.
